Two Mouth-Watering Camp Meal Ideas

Cooking food on the fire is perhaps one of the most iconic and memorable moments of any camping experience. Grown-ups and kids alike love to sit around and enjoy a simple, earthy meal cooked in a fun and impressive way. In this article, we compiled a few of our favorite camping recipes and a few unique ideas! Read on to find out more.

Pigs in a Blanket: My kids love pigs in a blanket: it’s a fun way to make a hot dog, and needless to say, the always giggle when they ear the name! Should you not familiar with this yummy meal, a “pig in a blanket” is essentially a hot dog wrapped around in a “blanket” of dough. You can make your dough, but it would probably be more practical to use store-bought dough, which you can carry with you with ease. Simply cut the dough into strings and wrap it around the hot dogs! Then, let them roast on the fire until the dough looks golden-brown.

S’mores: Could we really not mention s’mores? Marshmallow is synonym with camping, and s’mores are fun to make by the fire.

Bring some graham crackers, a bag of marshmallows and some chocolate bars. Chop a piece of chocolate big enough to fit on a cracker, then roast a marshmallow on the fire, until it gets a little bit gooey, and lay it on the chocolate, before sandwiching it with another graham cracker on the top. Yummy!
